Projects & code
The FlexOffer concept wasn't designed on paper and left there — it was built, revised, and field-tested across a sequence of EU and Danish-funded research projects, largely through EU FP7, Horizon 2020, and Danish Innovation Fund programmes. Each one pushed the model to cover a new kind of device, market, or scale.
MIRABEL
Where the FlexOffer concept originated: a scalable ICT system aimed at higher renewable-energy integration, demand–supply balancing, and flexibility management.
TOTALFLEX
A Danish project that built and demonstrated a market-based system for trading flexibility and managing grid congestion.
Arrowhead
A large-scale European automation project on collaborative automation and interoperability of networked devices, spanning production, end-user services, smart buildings, electro-mobility, and energy markets — one of five pilot domains was an energy flexibility market.
DiCyps
Fundamental research into using software and data for smarter solutions across health, traffic, energy, and community services.
GoFlex
A Horizon 2020 project integrating and demonstrating smart-grid technologies for cost-effective demand response in distribution grids. Went on to extract, aggregate and trade flexibility for 500+ prosumers across demo sites in Germany, Switzerland and Cyprus.
FED
A Danish digitalization project aimed at making Danish electricity consumption flexible enough to absorb excess power production from wind turbines and solar cells.
FEVER
A Horizon 2020 project demonstrating and implementing solutions that draw on flexibility in the generation, consumption and storage of electricity.
domOS
A Horizon 2020 project designing an IoT system for buildings and integrating it with smart energy services.
